Terms of Service

CardYield is a personal collection tracker for sports cards, sealed wax, and case breaks. It includes an AI-assisted card scanner, market-price lookups from public sources like eBay, and cost basis math for your collection. By using CardYield you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

CardYield is currently invite-only. If you have an invite link, you can create an account with a valid email address and a password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe. Tell us at help@sandman.cards if you think your account has been compromised.

You must be at least 13 years old to have an account. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission.

Please:

• Use CardYield to track your own collection or a collection you have permission to manage.
• Share collections with other users through the built-in sharing feature.
• Give us honest feedback so we can improve the product.

Please don't:

• Scrape our pricing endpoints, reverse-engineer the AI scanner, or resell our data.
• Upload photos of anything that isn't a trading card or wax product.
• Attempt to access accounts or collections that aren't yours.
• Use the service to break the law or infringe someone else's IP.

Everything you put into CardYield (your cards, prices, notes, photos) belongs to you. We store it and process it so we can show it back to you and compute things like ROI and break P&L. We do not sell your content, and we do not claim ownership of it. See the Privacy Policy for specifics.

CardYield shows market prices pulled from public sources like eBay sold listings and active listings. These prices are cached, occasionally noisy, and never guaranteed to reflect what any specific card will actually sell for. Grade estimates from our AI grader are pre-screen guidance, not a substitute for a professional grading service. Don't make big financial decisions on this data alone.

Some CardYield features rely on third parties (Anthropic for AI, eBay for prices, Resend for email, Supabase for hosting). If they go down, break, or change their APIs, some features may not work until we adapt. We'll do our best to keep things running.

CardYield is in beta. Features may change, break, or disappear without notice. Prices may lag or be off. We ship fixes fast, but you should still keep your own backups of anything important. Use the Settings page to export your data anytime.

You can delete your account at any time by contacting help@sandman.cards. We may suspend or terminate an account if it violates these terms or puts the service at risk. If we terminate your account for something serious (fraud, abuse), we'll try to explain why.

CardYield is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or lost sales resulting from your use of the service. Our total liability is capped at the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months (currently $0 in the beta).

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute goes in a court sitting in Michigan.

We may update these terms as the product evolves. If we make a material change, we'll email registered users and update the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use CardYield after a change means you accept the update.
